We will be gathering again in 2019!
Our gathering will happen twice...every three day weekend posed challenges to a significant number of people for a variety of reasons...so, we decided to move to two gatherings that will enable people to choose the better time in light of their commitments. The first gathering will take place on
Memorial Day Weekend 2019 in Blauvelt, NY. The second gathering will take place on
Columbus Day Weekend 2019 (also celebrated as Indigenous Peoples Day 2019) in Mission San Jose, CA.
Each member of DWA is asked to attend a weekend in-person and participate virtually in the other weekend. The second gathering will build on the first and so participation at both will ensure that many voices, ideas, visions, and dreams shape the future of our lives!
Participants will receive some financial support to attend the gathering of their choice. Specific information will be sent out before the end of the year so that your plans can be made. Please put both dates on your calendar!

A Structures Committee was called together in March 2018 to begin a conversation about the future structure of DWA, the future structure of Dominican Life, how we might look in the future and all the issues, concerns, and discombobulation that surfaces when we begin these kinds of conversations. We have met several times as a committee and we are slowly making headway in understanding the many perspectives on the committee and the task we have set before us! Nothing specific to report yet!
Our next two meetings are October 1st and October 22nd on Zoom. If you are interested in joining the committee, we would love to expand our membership!
